some things happen..
[info]suze_me

Omigosh, I cant believe this happened!! My mom talked to my class teacher and 'm outta theatre festival *do's happy dance* yay!! Hurrah! Its lke this huge budern off my chest. I dont care if all my friends are roped in and hope to have fun, I am just glad that I dont have to go through the torture! They can try teasing all they want but I consider myself pretty lucky cos they all wanted this! :D Lets see who else is able to stall this thing in our class, after all I need a companion with me for all those days when the entire class is out reharsing. I would bunk school a lot then. Not that I am worried :)

Anyway, today was fun, very less of studying! We had this silly poetry recitation comeptiton which was pathetic and my sided hurt from laughing so much! Our class did this poem Seven Ages by Shakespere. It did screw up for the first few minutes but didnt turn out to be that bad :P

Also Dad is back from the wedding and is down with a pretty upset stomach. We can understand. Hehe.

Anyway, here's some latest gossip from hollywoodgossip.com -

Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas: Just Friends!
The young superstar has taken to her Twitter account to shoot down rumors of a romance between herself and her BFF. Demi writes:

"There's been a lot of rumors lately that I'm dating one of my best friends Joe. I can promise my entire career that I am not. It's unfortunate that some people out there are so desperate for attention that they have to make up gossip to keep their site alive.

"We've NEVER dated. He's incredible, but we don't have feelings for each other in that way. I love you guys, and I wouldn't lie about that."

Note to Lovato: have you seen Joe in a tanktop?!? You might wanna revise this relationship.

Just think of how many times you could get to first base - and only first base! - if you and Jonas dated. Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas

All of my Science is done so I can finally waste my time online :P

I have tutions in 2 hours. The math teacher is going to eat me up when I tell her about my pathetic test. But it wasnt my fault if the paper was so damn long and well, tough. Plus that hidden question at the back. Besides, It was not just me, but everyone who's exam went that way.

Anyway, back to wasting my time online :)

Awesome Author Challenge 2010
[info]suze_me

Ok, so another challenge I participate in.
The idea behind this challenge is to read works by authors who have been recommended to you time and again, yet somehow you haven't managed to read any books by those authors. These are the authors that everyone else tells you are awesome, thus the "Awesome Author Challenge" title.
I have chosen the Easy level and three authors are -
Jane Austen
Bram Stroker
Louisa May Alcott

New Author Challenge 2010I am signing up for this book reading challenge -

"The idea behind this is to find new authors that you’ve never tried before.  They can be in your genre of choice or be brave and try something new.  You never know what you’re going to like until you try it."

It sounds good and something I'd like to try out :)

and life goes on...
[info]suze_me

How can a day be so awesome and the one after it be so crappy?!
Yesterday was sooo much fun. We went for a 2 hour tution and played piano too :) Then in the evening we played for hours. We were hanging about the court even after everyone else had left. The white car (in which J has appeared so often) came once, then twice, then thrice and well, I stopped counting after that. They were probably driving at 20 or something cos its was practically crawling. The windows are pitch black so it was impossible to see inside. Moreover, the window was a little bit down (but nothing showed -_-) and I could hear the song that was playing. It was pretty loud actually. A romantic song. Yeah, got me all happy. Dream on, girl. :P

This is the exact pic of the car although I didnt click it, just googled :)

Anyway, later we went for a show of this new movie Aladdin at around 7.

The movie sucked but we had fun eating Nacho's and chatting :D

I prefer disney's aladdin so much over this.

Aww, I have seen it like 100 times already.

But the female model in this movie aka the Hindi aladdin is very pretty..!

So yesterday was pretty great but today..bigod, it sucked!

First I missed the bus.
Then the Math test, it went pathetic!

Moreover, the last question was published at the back of the sheet so I didnt see it till the end and when I did see,  the time was up. :((
I even cried a litle during the English class. So sue me -_-
Then ofcourse Priya was her annoying self at times. Like yeah, maybe I should accept it that she cant have a perfect behaviour so I'ill have to take the bad and the good sides of it.
I asked dad to enquire about forms at Amity. He said that I should check out the website first. Yeah I guess.

Oh and before I go, today A was standing on the stage for assembly. He was looking up at something so I also stared in the same direction. On seeing nothing, I looked back at him and he was looking at me!! I blushed to the roots of my hair. Talk about embarassing. Then he wont just look away. Huh. He even appeared outside the class and caught me and Priya nudging each other over him. Priya even tried to push met towards him.. Huhhh!

Our teacher is still eating our brains about the theatre festival. What a headache!

Dad is going to this wedding tomorrow that is like very far away from here. We all (especially I) were supposed to go but I have my Science test the very next day. I planning on studying tongiht (like the whole night) and going with dad tomorrow. I can get my sleep in the car. That way I get to go (even if, well, the wedding sucks. Cos yeah, these affairs, in my native homewtown, are not so good) and bunk school!
So I am thinking about it.

LJ Idol - Season 6 - Topic 3 - Smile
[info]jennilee_rose
“Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.” - Mother Teresa of Calcutta

A good friend of mine once taught me that if you want to make a person smile, cheer them up, or just do something nice, the easiest way is to give someone an honest compliment. If you see someone and you like something about them, tell them so. Over the time I've known her, she's posted about it, and at the times it's come back around to her and made her smile.

Since I've been her friend, I've tried to follow her example and there are many times when the result has surprised me. I can remember just being out in public, seeing a woman who was frowning and wearing a beautiful outfit. I complemented her on it and watched her frown turn to a smile and she complimented me back on my hair.

It's a small thing. It doesn't take much time at all, but the smile can last all day and possibly improve a person's day if it's not going particularly well already.

So I challenge all of you. Smile at a child and their mother. Crack a silly joke and make others around you smile and laugh. Complement someone on their clothes, hair, anything. You never know the amount of good you'll do, but the smile on your face, knowing that you've spread the happiness should keep you smiling too.

Bloodline by Sidney Sheldon
[info]suze_me

Done with :

Description
One of Sidney Sheldon's most popular and bestselling titles, repackaged and reissued for a new generation of fans. The daughter of a rich and powerful father, Elizabeth Roffe is young, beautiful - and sole heir to a billion dollar fortune. Then tragedy strikes. Her father is killed in a freak accident and Elizabeth must take command of his mighty global empire, the pharmaceutical company Roffe and Sons. It makes Elizabeth the richest girl in the world. But someone, somewhere, is determined that she must die. From the backstreets of Istanbul to the upmarket offices of New York, Bloodline is a hypnotic tale of love and ambition, danger, intrigue and death.

My Thoughts
This is my first book by Sheldon. He is a very much hyped author known for creating the right amount of mystery, murder and suspense. I found Bloodline a very interesting, engrossing and amazing read. Its like a rollercoaster ride, with its up's and down's, gasp moments and the breath-taking turns. Towards the end I was completely absorbed in the book (while my mom kept on shouting for a shower) and a slave to its exciting end. I actually felt betrayed when it was assumed that Rhys is the culprit but it was such a relief to know that it was none other than Alec! There's a good amount of romance in the book too. Elizabeth is a strong character with great brains and a pretty face. Although I felt that the book did leave some questions unanswered. Like what happend to Helene? and her meeting with Rhys? and Charles, Ivo, Anne? What happened to all of these? I wouldn't have mind reading a few pages more if all these questions were answered.
One of the most shocking and almost scary moment was when Walther says that their kids had died during birth itself and therefore, Anne was actually nuts and crazy for mere dolls. I loved it though :D
Its a great read and highly recommended :)

Girls day out! :)
[info]suze_me
Today I was real peevd when mom wont let me and my Sis go for shopping but then all of a sudden Nancy said, why not give Shri a visit? So we went over to her place and gossiped forever :) It was soo much fun. We talked about all the girl-y stuff (including all the problems) and it was well, wonderful, thats the word. Nancy and I have been talking ever since. We even plan on doing a sleepover someday :D
Also, The most shocking thing happened today, guess who called me? Sameer!! Of all people! Apparently, He needed my help. He had given this sim card to Priya about which her sister Annie somehow, found out. Ofcourse, Priya took my name and said that it belongs to me. So Sameer called me up to tell me about the crisis and how I should call Priya and tell her to say that the sim's mine and she should break it if it grew a very big mess or something. So I did the same. Then I called Sameer and told him that Anni has believed that the sim belongs to me and she wont complain to her parents. Whew! Then we said goobye and done. Then AGAIN I got a call from him. This time just to say "Thank You" I was like "WHAATT?" He repeated and then came my shakey "yeah welcome, bye"..!
I hope he doesnt think that I am a bitch anymore. Frankly, I dont care about his opinion on me but still, I dont want anyone to hate me. Even if its Sameer.

I have my Math test on tuesday and hopefully, I am all done with it. :)
Shruti and I will go for shopping tomorrow finally! Yay! :d

Network Maintenance - Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 04:00-05:00 GMT/UTC
[info]dwell wrote in [info]lj_maintenance
EDIT: If you're reading this, our maintenance is OVER! The problem was not found on our equipment, which means we'll have to work with our ISP to fix this small problem -- which also means another maintenance window in the future -- but at least we have eliminated our side.

Thank you everyone, and a special shout out to [info]rekoil for giving me a great suggestion AND also the opportunity to feel like I've just called in to a local radio station.

Have a great day, night or afternoon wherever you may be.

---

Hi everyone, sorry for the late notice but I'm going to have to do some testing on 1 of our 4 internet circuits TONIGHT; Friday night or Saturday morning depending on which time zone you're in.

Most of us shouldn't notice any impact, though there may be some slowness or lag when I switch traffic on to our other ISP circuits and then another hit when I stop the tests. If a page won't load or times out, try hitting refresh 1 or 2 times and it should load then. If it doesn't work at all... trust me, I'll be typing really really really fast to try to undo whatever I just did. Hopefully you'll have some Halloween candy (if you're in the USA and celebrate that kind of thing) nearby to take away the bitterness of a small site outage. :(

Here's the handy-dandy Website That I Always Use to get a feel for when the maintenance will start in your area. Our site traffic historically dips on Friday afternoons until Saturday morning which is why we tend to pick this time for maintenance work.

call it a freakshow, why don't we?
[info]suze_me

A mosquitoe just bit me on the hand and now its itching like mad. Urgghh! Anyway, t'was a nice day..almost. In school, I was somewhat peeved at Priya. The way she was acting but still, things like that happen between best friends, right? Doesn't mean we start hating them and dont try to restore things back to normal. That's what I plan on doing on Monday. Till then I enjoy a great weekend + A monday holiday (Guru Nanak Birthday. Thank you for taking birth on 1st November :D).
Otherwise, it was a great day. I met Soumya after ages today. Everyone was having a water fight near the buses but it grew pretty silly towards the end. My Social Science test went fab! Our class teacher was absent oh and I was marked absent on my computer practical cos we were late for the class. I know I should be freaking out but surprisingly, I dont care. Written test cancelled so I get to bunk school tomorrow and Maybe, a trip to mall and loads of shopping (If Shriya and Nancy agree to come which is likely :S).
Got a text from Komal. She's coming over for a marathon held in our school on 14th november. Finally, we get to meet in ages even if that means I will have to run a few miles (anything that helps me lose my tummy :D). I don't know if I will be able to manage between my present friends and the old ones. Thats the only thought that scares me. I know that Priya will come too, so whom am I supposed to attend? Her or Komal?
Maybe talking over things with Priya on monday will help. Also Komal would want to see A and I know there will be a mess. I have the feeling. *sigh*
I know without all these happenings, my life would be plain and boring but ahh, sometimes I do feel very stressed. We'ill just go with the flow and see what happens. All I have to do is have fun! :)
